Partner with the search for extraterrestrial intelligence
The search for extraterrestrial intelligence addresses one of humanity’s most fundamental questions: are we alone in the universe?
Answering it requires long-term scientific commitment, advanced technology and cooperation across disciplines and institutions. Companies, foundations and other organizations can play a meaningful role in making this work possible.
SETI Association welcomes conversations with organizations interested in supporting research, technology, education and public engagement related to the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.
Ways to work with us
Potential forms of collaboration include:
- funding a scientific or technical project;
- supporting the development of research instruments;
- providing technology, equipment, infrastructure or professional expertise;
- sponsoring educational and public-engagement programmes;
- supporting events, lectures and international discussions;
- establishing a long-term institutional partnership;
- jointly developing an initiative connected with science, technology or innovation;
- providing unrestricted support for the association’s ongoing work.
We are interested in both financial and non-financial partnerships. If your organization has technology, expertise, facilities, data or other resources relevant to our mission, we would be glad to hear your proposal.
A partnership grounded in science
We approach partnerships individually and aim to build collaborations that create genuine value for research, education and society.
Any partnership must be consistent with the association’s scientific independence, ethical principles and non-profit mission. The form of recognition, communication and participation is determined according to the nature and scale of each collaboration.
Start a conversation
Tell us about your organization, what interests you about SETI and what kind of collaboration you would like to explore. An initial proposal does not need to be fully developed.
We will review your enquiry and, where there is a potential alignment, contact you to arrange an introductory conversation.
